Welcome To Fall 2026
At The Curtain Playhouse we have classes for students in Kindergarten through High School. No audition is required and all students are accepted regardless of skill level. If you have questions about our class offerings please email us at perform@thecurtainplayhouse.com.
This Fall, The Curtain Playhouse is offering classes for three different age groups:
Grades K - 3 meet Tuesdays, 4:30 - 6:00
Grades 6 - 12 meet Wednesdays, 4:30 - 6:30
Grades 3 - 6 meets Thursdays, 4:45 - 6:30
**We consider 3rd grade and 6th grade "cross-over years". Some families feel their child is ready to move-up to the older group, some feel they should stay with the younger kids. If your child is newer to theatre, we usually recommend they stay with the younger group.

The ghost-with-the-most comes to the stage in this frightfully funny musical based on the beloved motion picture turned Broadway phenomenon.
Lydia Deetz is a strange and unusual teenager, still grieving the loss of her mother and obsessed with the whole “being dead thing.” Lucky for Lydia, she & her father move to a new house haunted by a recently deceased couple and Beetlejuice, a delightful demon with a real zest for life. When Lydia calls on Beetlejuice to scare away anyone with a pulse, this double-crossing specter shows his true stripes.

Junior Theatre Festival

We will return again to Sacramento in February of 2027 for another great positive experience the Junior Theatre Festival. If you've been before, or you are brand new & want to be a part of the excitement. Students must be in 4th grade & up for the 2026-2027 school, and must be enrolled in a theatre class with us during fall 2026 AND spring semester 2027. We will be taking selections from "Beetlejuice" this year, and rehearsals take place September-our February trip. We LOVE having parents go along & encourage you to be with us! Cost changes just a bit each year due to hotel costs, but last year we were just a touch over $1,100 per person. An informational meeting will follow for those interested this fall, but the earlier we know you'd like to join in, the better!
Rehearsals will take place following the Wednesday classes
Initial Deposit- $200 per person, additional payments in September, October, November, December & January.
