Spring Registration Now Open!

At The Curtain Playhouse we have classes for students in Kindergarten through High School. No audition is required and all students are accepted regardless of skill level. If you have questions about our class offerings please email us at

perform@thecurtainplayhouse.com

This Spring, The Curtain Playhouse is offering classes for two different age groups in 3 separate classes:

Grades K - 4 meet Tuesdays, 4:30 - 6:00
Grades 4 - 7 meet Wednesdays, 4:30-6:30
Grades K-4 meet Thursdays, 5:00: 6:30

**We consider 4th grade "cross-over year".  Some families feel their child is ready to move-up to the older group, some feel they should stay with the younger kids.  If your child is newer to theatre, we usually recommend they stay with the younger group.

Tuesdays!

Pet owners Roger and Anita live happily in London with their Dalmatians, Pongo and Perdita, stalwart dogs devoted to raising their puppies. Everything is quiet until Anita's former classmate, the monstrous Cruella DeVil, plots to steal the puppies for her new fur coat. The Dalmatians rally all the dogs of London for a daring rescue of the puppies from Cruella and her bumbling henchmen.

Based on the classic animated film, this fur-raising adventure features Disney's most outrageous villain, and 101 of the most adorable heroes to ever set their paws onstage. With a high-spirited score and lovable characters, this stage adaptation stretches our young actors in new ways, learning accents for some, and new character work for all!

Travel back to the Renaissance for musical comedy gold in Something Rotten! Jr.  Adapted from the Broadway hit that Time Out New York hailed as "the funniest musical comedy in at least 400 years," Something Rotten! Jr. celebrates one undeniable truth: “nothing’s as amazing as a musical!”

In the 1590s, brothers Nick and Nigel Bottom are desperate to write a hit play but are stuck in the shadow of that Renaissance rock star known as "The Bard." When a local soothsayer foretells that the future of theatre involves singing, dancing and acting at the same time, Nick and Nigel set out to write the world’s very first musical. But amidst the scandalous excitement of opening night, the Bottom Brothers realize that reaching the top means being true to thine own self, and all that jazz.

Thursdays!

With all of the Denver area school calendars, we do not take any rehearsals off. We do expect that some students will miss a rehearsal for their spring break.

Of course, we are going to rehearse for performances, but we’ll also have fun group activities, and surprises all semester!  Please note: all students must provide theatre shoes as appropriate for their characters following casting. These are either jazz or character shoes, the standard for theatre. Some students participating in "Something Rotten" will also need tap shoes. More information will be provided after casting.
